Staying out of the spotlight

Kevin Durant can’t avoid it on the court, but off – that’s just how he likes it
Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant doesn’t seek the spotlight, but his stock just keeps going up. Durant scored 17 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter of Game 1 of the NBA finals to help lift the Thunder over the Miami heat, but even as his play draws the spotlight, Durant prefers just to “come in and give it my all every single day” and even those who play against him know little about the the three-time scoring champion.
Once THE guy in the NBA, Miami’s Dwyane Wade is now overshadowed by Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant. Wade shot just 7 for 19 in Game 1, and teammate Lebron James said Wade may need “a little kick” before Game 2 on Thursday night. “A lot of time I try to let him figure it out on his own, but sometimes I go to him and tell him I need one of those games from him; I need one of those performances from him, because he still has it,” James said.
