Broncos ‘hurry’ into 2012 season

Manning’s second go-round brings Mile High expectations to Denver
Peyton Manning is done strolling down memory lane, he’s looking toward his future in Denver as the Broncos’ starting quarterback. Manning was lured to Denver with a five-year, $96-million deal, yet the 36-year-old quarterback admittedly is on a year-to-year basis, which means he’s all about winning now.
Elvis Dumervil will lead what promises to be a potent pass-rushing attack between himself, defensive rookie of the year Von Miller and this year’s rookie Derek Wolfe.
Eric Decker, who caught a couple of touchdowns from Petyon Manning in the Broncos’ third preseason game, provides one of several exciting options for the new quarterback to play with.
Broncos’ comeback victory caps their preseason

GLENDALE, Ariz. – While Peyton Manning watched, Denver’s reserves pulled out a wild one in the desert.
Manning and the rest of the Broncos’ starters took the fourth and final game of the preseason off, and Denver got a 44-yard field goal from Matt Prater as the game ended to beat the Arizona Cardinals 16-13 on Thursday night.
Omar Bolden, a fourth-round draft pick from nearby Arizona State, returned a kickoff 103 yards for a touchdown to ignite a second-half comeback for Denver.
In contrast to the Broncos, Arizona used 10 starters on offense and 10 on defense in the game’s first few series. The Cardinals’ two candidates for starting quarterback, John Skelton and Kevin Kolb, did not play.
Cardinals first-round draft pick Michael Floyd made a spectacular 22-yard touchdown catch.
