It is amusing to note the irony and hypocrisy of the Democratic Party and its media allies attacks on Mitt Romneys wealth.
Their two greatest icons, Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy, were both immensely wealthy. However, in the Democratic hagiography, these two rich men still maintained the common touch.
Perhaps it was because it was family money in each case. Neither Roosevelt nor Kennedy made substantive money themselves. Except for John Kennedys naval service during World War II, neither of them ever had a real, nonpolitical job. That must be the reason Roosevelt and Kennedy were so empathetic and wonderful and Romney is just rich and uncaring.
