First National Bank announces new hires
First National Bank of Durango announces these new hires:
Amanda Valdez has been hired as a customer-service representative at the Bayfield office. She was born in Durango and grew up in Farmington. Valdez attended San Juan College and graduated with associates degrees in liberal arts and psychology.
Beth Candelaria has been hired as a customer-service representative at the main offices front desk. Originally from Stuarts Draft, Va., Candelaria received a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Brittany Olson has been hired as a customer-service representative at the main office. Originally from Alaska, Olson has a degree in English and secondary education with a minor in media arts from the University of Montana, Missoula.
Jessi Scavo has been hired as a customer-service representative at the main office. Scavo was raised in a Navy family and moved a lot, but claims Washington as her home state.
Racheal Travis has been hired as a customer-service representative at the main office. She was born and raised in Aurora.

Big Brothers Big Sisters announces hires
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado announces these new hires:
Allison Wunsch is the new marketing and outreach manager. Wunsch previously worked at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she was director of athletic academic success. Her responsibilities included event planning, fundraising, volunteer engagement and outreach to student athletes and the business community. Wunsch completed a doctorate of law at Creighton University in 2011.
Aubrey Millert is the new community-based program specialist. Millert was youth engagement manager for buildOn Philadelphia, where she planned and supervised 100 students weekly in service, fundraising and global education projects. She also spent two years with Teach for America on the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico and four years as a backcountry youth expedition leader.

RE/MAX office announces new agent
Claudia Williams, formerly the broker/owner of Blue Ribbon Properties in Durango, has joined the team at RE/MAX Pinnacle.
A Durango Realtor for the last 10 years, Williams has a background in hospitality management, finance and venture capital. She earned a masters degree from Cornell University.
During the last year, Williams worked on more than 40 transactions using her experience in home sales, built green and solar homes, land, ranches and commercial properties. She is Durangos first certified Eco Broker, trained to market and sell solar, green and ecologically friendly homes.
