Another Fourth of July. It took six years of war against one of the most powerful nations in the world at that time to have this holiday.
When it started, the English thought it was just a minor uprising. It sure was - so minor it created a new nation with completely different ideas about what a country should be.
Sure there have been problems, just as there will always be problems. But as free people we do stand a chance to correct them.
So for a nation that started out with just a few people with big ideas, we are not perfect, but just give us some more time. Maybe we will make it.
