Trojans ride into foreign territory

Curtis McNeal and No. 13 Southern California haven’t exactly been running away from its competition, but the Trojans are bringing a 33-points-per-game average into Thursday night’s game against Utah at Salt Lake City. “They’re so explosive,” Utes’ coach Kyle Whittingham said.
Utah will need every bit of help in its secondary against a passing attack led by Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Barkley and his dangerous duo of wide receivers, Robert Woods and Marqise Lee.
Silas Redd and No. 13 USC will play Utah tonight in Salt Lake City, the first time the Trojans have played at Utah in 95 years. “We’ll have our hands full,” USC coach Lane Kiffin said. “They’ll be fired up, and the crowd will be into it, and we’ll have to play really well.”
