Hannah Starbuck, Jenna Kinzer and the Fort Lewis College volleyball team is coming off its first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference weekend sweep of the season. Used to the win one, lose one weekend, FLC (9-7, 5-3 RMAC) swept Black Hills State and Chadron State at Whalen Gymnasium, and with the powers of the East Division looming, the Skyhawks’ momentum boost was well-timed. “I think it’s one of the best wins, in my opinion,” Kristin Stephan said of Saturday’s 3-1 victory. “It’s definitely like a breakthrough for us ... to be able to pull through and win games.” FLC will host Colorado Christian and Colorado Mines at 7 p.m. today and Saturday, respectively.
