Bayfield sophomore quarterback Matt Knickerbocker carried the ball five times for 111 yards and three touchdowns in the first half of Friday night’s 58-14 victory over Gunnison.
Senior TJ Pazell scored three times for the Wolverines, including a 19-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He finished with 52 yards on eight carries.
Senior Allec Rodriguez returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown and returned a punt 72 yards to set up another Bayfield score Friday night. “Anthony Chamblee (1) was knocking people down; everybody was knocking people down,” Rodriguez said. The third-ranked team in Class 2A knocked down Gunnison 58-14 to stay undefeated and win on homecoming night.
