Whats at Stake: After the game at Autzen Stadium against the Buffaloes, the Ducks will play three of their final four games on the road, including the big game Nov. 3 against Pac-12 South leader USC in Los Angeles. Oregon has won 10 consecutive games, second only to Alabama with 11 consecutive victories. The Ducks have scored at least 42 points in those 10 games. Colorado has lost three in a row and might be the worst team in a BCS automatic qualifying conference.
Key Matchup: Oregons high-scoring, speedy-spread offense against Colorados defense. One look at the line should show where this game is headed. Oregon is ranked No. 8 in total offense, averaging 529.6 yards, while Colorados overall defense is ranked 112th nationally, allowing an average of 489 yards. As for scoring, Oregon is averaging 51 points per game, while Colorado is allowing 42.6 points per game. The Buffaloes have allowed at least 50 points in back-to-back games.
Players to Watch: Colorado QB Jordan Webb. The junior struggled last week when he threw three interceptions in a 50-6 loss to No. 11 USC, but coach Jon Embree said hes sticking with his starter for now. Webb has thrown for 1,351 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions this season and has a 5-23 record overall as a starter with CU and Kansas. Webb was replaced by backup Connor Wood against the Trojans; Oregon RB Kenjon Barner. The senior, who for the last two years has played in the shadow of LaMichael James, increasingly is getting Heisman buzz this season. Barner is averaging 124.3 yards rushing per game, 10th in the nation. He needs 130 yards rushing to become the 15th Oregon player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.
