The sun makes a brief appearance on a chilly Saturday morning that brought snow to the mountains and a light dusting to Durango. By 1 p.m. Saturday, Mancos had received 5 inches of snow, while Red Mountain Pass had received 15 inches and Wolf Creek Summit 13 inches, according to Weather Underground. No official snowfall reports were available from local ski areas, which will open around Thanksgiving. The National Weather Service predicts a 40 percent chance of snow through 2 p.m. today, with a high of 29 degrees and a low tonight of 1 degree, with possible wind chill of minus 10. Durango’s high Monday is expected to hit 38 degrees, NWS reported.
