Wide selection at holiday bazaar

Doris Higgins, 94, said it took her an entire year to make the 400 pot-holders, 213 pillows, 52 crib quilts and 52 aprons, among other things, that went on sale Saturday during the 39th annual First United Methodist Church Holiday Bazaar. Proceeds from the event will help fund church missions, said member Marilyn Summers. Regina Modica, upper left, and Gary West, both of Rio Rancho, N.M., pick up a few of Higgins’ pot-holders.
The church also offered sloppy joes and a dozen or so different homemade pies during the bazaar.
