The Arundo donax plant is being considered in Oregon as a substitute for coal. But some states have spent millions to eradicate it.
California has spent more than $70 million trying to eradicate Arundo donax. Hand crews cut and haul it to higher areas where mowers can grind it in Bonsall, Calif.
