P.C. Schools shows arrival of electricity in S.W. Colo.
P.C. Schools took his camera with him on the job, documenting the building of infrastructure bringing electricity to Southwest Colorado. Here, he hangs out above the icy Animas River.
P.C. Schools shot a little of everything, even workers taking a smoke break inside a partially built flume.
In the early 1900s, wooden flumes were sealed with creosote.
One of P.C. Schools’ first jobs was in Telluride. This was taken at the Gold King Mill.
The Cascade Flume was built in 1924 and can still be seen today.
