1st impressions make lasting impressions

BHS football makes its mark on the new Western League
Gary Heide coached the Bayfield Wolverines to an 11-1 record and a return trip to the Class 2A final four in his first year at Bayfield High School. He was named the Western League Coach of the Year. “I have to say, I came into a great situation here in Bayfield,” Heide said.
Austin McMenimen was part of a dominant Bayfield Wolverines’ offensive line that consistently opened big holes for Western League Running Back of the Year TJ Pazell. McMenimen, who played on both sides of the ball, was named Western League Lineman of the Year.
TJ Pazell was the workhorse in the Bayfield Wolverines’ backfield this season. The senior co-captain for the Bayfield High School football team was named the Western League Running Back of the Year.
