Har Shalom announces events

Congregation Har Shalom, 2537 County Road 203, will host these events:

The “Hanukkadabra” and Hanukkah Festival Celebration has been rescheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Har Shalom. The kid-friendly celebration will feature menorah lighting, stories, songs, dreidel spin off and catered latke dinner. There is a suggested freewill offering of $15 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Hanukkah gelt and prizes will be provided.

Participants should bring their own menorah and candles, latkes to share and a veggie/dairy side dish or dessert to share. A bonfire will take place outside for blessings and sharing. Volunteers are needed to meet and greet, help set up, serve, clean up, and put away tables and chairs. For more information, call 382-8300.

A Torah service and Haftorah and Hamatsav discussion will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 15 at Har Shalom.

“Judaism 360” and a Chai Mitzvah tsadakah program will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 16 at Har Shalom.

Feast of Guadalupe to be celebrated

St. Peter-St. Rosa Catholic Church, 18851 Colorado Highway 151 in Arboles, will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at its bimonthly service on Dec. 16.

Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m., and a fiesta dinner, raffle, silent auction and children’s games will follow. Raffle tickets may be purchased from a member of the Carmelitas for $1 each or six for $5.

The church serves families in the Arboles, Allison and Tiffany areas.

First Baptist announces services

The First Baptist Church, 332 E. 11th St., on the corner of East Third Avenue and 11th Street, announces these services:

A Christmas Children’s Musical will take place at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Dec. 16.

Christmas Eve services will take place at 3 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24.

Interfaith Christmas concert to be held

An interfaith choir Christmas concert will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 1690 Bayfield Parkway in Bayfield.

Admission is free.

Lutheran church to host family Sunday school

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will offer the Family Sunday School lesson “Away in a Manger” at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 16 at the church, directly across from Miller Middle School on Junction Street.

Parents and their children are invited to attend the celebration of Christ’s birth.
