Regional rivalry runs tight until the Demons’ fourth quarter
Emily McCue fought her way to 17 points and seven rebounds as Durango used a big fourth quarter to top Jaida Ross and Bayfield 54-43 on Tuesday at Durango High School. Ross had 14 for Bayfield.
Augusta Brockus and Durango worked out of foul trouble to force 29 turnovers, and the Demons avenged last season’s loss to Bayfield with a victory in their home opener Tuesday.
