Manziel is the player to beat, but there’s trophy potential
For the first time in Heisman Trophy history, a candidate, should Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel decide to use all four years of his college football eligibility, will have three more chances to win the award a second time. Next year, Manziel will be a sophomore and chasing his second trophy; only Ohio State running back Archie Griffin has won the award twice.
No. 5: Aaron Murray, senior quarterback, Georgia.
No. 6: AJ McCarron, senior quarterback, Alabama.
No. 10: Jadeveon Clowney, junior defensive end, Clemson.
No. 12: Ka’Deem Carey, junior running back, Arizona.
