Artists may submit for Farmington’s Riverfest



Artists who live in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona are invited to submit work for the indoor juried fine art fair at the 27th annual Riverfest in Farmington.

Riverfest will take place May 24-26, and the deadline to submit work is Feb. 28. The juror will be Durango watercolor artist Ann Smith and the entry fee is $25. The fair promotes original art in various mediums with all artists expected to be on site.

Artists may pick up a prospectus at the Farmington Library, 2101 Farmington Ave., download from www.NWNMAC.org or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to NWNMAC, Attn: Riverfest Fine Arts and Crafts Fair, P.O. Box 2235, Farmington, NM 87499.

Raider Ridge to hold miniature show



The Southside Artisans Guild is seeking artists for a monthlong group miniature show at Raider Ridge Cafe, with opening night scheduled for mid-February. Entry is free, and pieces should be no bigger than 8-by-10 inches framed. Artists may submit more than one piece. If interested, email Dan Groth at warmgrimace@gmail.com.



Arts Center accepting entries for Jan. exhibit



Artists working in all media except film are invited to enter the annual Four Corners Commission at the Durango Arts Center. This regional juried exhibit celebrates the uniqueness of life, the land and the diverse heritage of the Four Corners. The exhibition will be held Jan. 11 through Feb. 2.

Barbershoppers to give free Christmas show



The Durango men’s and women’s barbershop groups will present their annual free Christmas show at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Main Mall at 835 Main Ave. The choruses and quartets will be joined by the Durango Chidren’s Chorale and will perform a cappella versions of Christmas songs.

The men’s chorus and Children’s Chorale are directed by Amy Barrett and the women’s chorus by Kriss Larsen. An audience sing-along will be a part of the program.
