Mike McKinzie was right on in his letter (Herald, Jan. 22). Barack Obama was elected mainly because of his race. Those blacks have all the advantages. (And you'll never convince me that McCain wasn't discriminated against because he's Irish. We know how those Irish are.)Although, I can't help feeling that the definition of narcissism in McKinzie's letter more perfectly describes George W. Bush. Given the damage his narcissism caused over the last eight years, I'd venture to guess that, had the Democrats had the audacity to run a white candidate, they might still have hoped to win the election.
