First female wildlife officer of the year praised for surmounting challenges

Patt Dorsey, southwest regional manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, is the Colorado recipient of the “Wildlife Officer of the Year Award” from Shikar-Safari Club International. Dorsey said she could have been considered a tomboy as a child. It carried over as she reached adulthood. “I always hunted with guys, never with women,” she said.
