German is the first to beat the Slovenian at the World Championships
Olympic champion Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany won the super-combined title at the World Championships, posting the second-fastest time in the slalom to finish in 2 minutes, 39.92 seconds. The German beat Tina Maze of Slovenia by 0.46 seconds.
Julia Mancuso was the top American finisher in the World Championships’ super-combined Friday in Schladming, Austria. She finished eighth, three spots ahead of teammate Laurenne Ross.
