Science teaches by measurement, then replication and repetition of measurement to reinforce or deny theoretical results. Who can measure God?
Most major religions have confined their belief in God into a box measured and constructed in an image of that religion's own creation. "God in a box" privileges and benefits those who seek control and power, and depend on their beliefs for their authority. Montesquieu remarked, "If triangles had a god, it would have three sides."
If anyone questions someone's "god in a box," out come the hammer and nails to seal that box tighter and tighter. If questions continue, the hammer and nails become force, law and punishment for those who question and doubt religious authority.
Not content to control fellow humans, too many religious believers seek to control God. Too many evangelicals seek to control Jesus to force him to return at their bidding. Instead of reflecting Jesus, they strive to spark Armageddon, claiming to follow biblical prophecy, never reflecting that they are ignoring biblical warning. It keeps coming back to control and power.
What if God created evolution? Will religious groups let their god out of their self-created box? Who will measure that?
