Nick Hamlin scored 12 points as the focal point of Durango’s inside-out offense, but the Demons lost sight ot their victory on a last-second buzzer beater to Grand Junction on Saturday at DHS.
Nick Hamlin and Durango muscled past D.J. Wells and Grand Junction for all but 2 seconds Saturday at DHS. But those two seconds, the final two seconds in the game, were enough for a 1-point Tigers’ win.
Willy Frownfelter and the Demons seemed to have maneuvered past Broderick Robinson and Grand Junction on Saturday at DHS only to trip up with three consecutive turnovers on inbounds plays in the final minute.
Trent Andrews scored six points – all of them in the third quarter – over D.J. Wells and Grand Junction. Wells finished with 10 points to lead the Tigers in victory.
Ty Elliott scored seven points for Durango on Saturday, including a 3-pointer. But the Demons lost their regular-season finale at home by one point to Grand Junction.
