This time, Fort Lewis College womens soccer head coach Damian Clarke stayed in Colorado for his latest recruit.
Shannon Harpham, a 5-5 midfielder from Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, signed her national letter of intent with the Skyhawks, and she joins a group of five recruits all from out of state except one.
Shannon is another Elite Club National League commit from Real Colorado, Clarke said in a news release to The Durango Herald. She is going to be a very crafty midfield player with a great engine.
Harpham is a four-year starter for the Rangers, and her versatility translated into minutes at defense, forward and midfield.
FLC graduated two players from its midfield one season ago: Elena Benavides and Serena Mancha.
The rest of Clarke and the Skyhawks 2013 recruiting class:
Carolyn Archer, midfielder, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Haleigh Macomb, defense, Cedar Park, Texas.
Ana Moran, forward, Salt Lake City.
Courtney Riley, midfield, Albuquerque. (Riley, the Class 5A New Mexico Player of the Year, is the younger sister of FLC defender Lauren Riley.)
Kirsten Ryan, forward, Grand Junction.
