The QBs and RBs are using the NFL Combine to prove the analysts otherwise
On one hand, Southern California quarterback Matt Barkley could’ve left school early and been a first-round draft pick in the NFL. On the other hand, a chance at the Heisman Trophy and a national-championship season awaited him at USC. He stayed, and things didn’t exactly work out. Sometimes, however, “things don’t go as planned,” he said.
Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones, despite some of the experts’ claims, said he thinks his extra year in school helped him develop as a quarterback. “I think I showed the things that I wanted to improve on,” he said.
