United States again eliminated from the WBC shy of the final four
Angel Pagan and Puerto Rico crossed the plate four times Friday in Miami, one more than the Americans, so it was Pagan and Puerto Rico that celebrated a berth in the World Baseball Classic semifinals.
Ryan Vogelsong gave up two runs in 5 2/3 innings, then Puerto Rico scored two more against the United States in a 4-3 victory Friday in the second round of the World Baseball Classic. The Americans again were eliminated from the WBC shy of the final four.
