Durango celebrates Bach at annual festival

Student recital garners packed crowd at first concert of week
Violin students of Sharon Neufeld’s Suzuki Music Academy perform Johann Sebastion Bach’s “Minuet” during Sunday’s student recital to open the 6th annual Durango Bach Festival at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

7 p.m.: Midweek concert and talk with Timothy Smith and C. Scott Hagler, $15/$5.

Noon: Bach’s Lunch with Marilyn Garst (harpsichord; Katherine Jetter (cello); Linda Mack Berven (harpsichord); Gemma Kavanagh (soprano); Roschell Mann (flute); C. Scott Hagler (organ); Rober Leslie (organ), $5 ($8 for lunch).
