DHS soccer 3-0 despite overhaul, new coach
Dalon Parker is at the center of the Durango girls soccer program, taking the head-coaching reins after the departure of former coach Aaron Eldridge. “Changing our mentality is one of his biggest goals, so just completely changing our work ethic,” midfielder Berkeley Davis said.
Steffie Wilson, Stephanie Ogier and Taylor Woolverton will help carry the load for Durango this season as the Demons work to replace nine seniors from last year’s team.
New Durango girls soccer coach Dalon Parker said the Demons still have work to do tactically, but he’s happy with their progress so far, as DHS has started the season 3-0. “We’re still not where we want to be strategically-wise, but we’re getting there as a unit, and that’s the great thing about it,” he said.
