The program will offer customers incentives to shop locally while increasing the use of their library card.
The library currently is accepting applications from businesses that want to participate until May 30. Businesses should tell the library what sort of incentive they would offer customers who show their library card. In exchange, the library will highlight business partners in brochures, newspaper ads, posters and bookmarks. Participating businesses also will be listed on the librarys website and posted around the library. The library has more than 30,000 card holders.
