Getting ready to sprout

Dave James of James Ranch harrows some of the ranch’s 400 acres Saturday afternoon. James’ daughter, Jen Wheeling, said the process breaks up cow pies and chunks of grass and evenly distributes it so grass can grow in those areas. Wheeling said it’s important to get the grass growing for the dairy cows, which will be calving in April.
