50 years ago: Measurements made of the snow pack in the Animas River watershed last week by Virgil Walls of the Soil Conservation Service indicate that the moisture content has risen from less than half of normal at the first measurement this year to three-fourths of normal water. Ground moisture conditions were also reported as good.
