How to cast your vote

Voters must select from six candidates to fill three seats on the five-member Durango City Council.

Ballots can be dropped off between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. today at either City Hall on Second Avenue or at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder’s office in Bodo Industrial Park.

Election results will be reported on The Durango Herald website, durangoherald.com, when they become available, which is expected to be about 8 p.m. today.

Councilors are elected on an at-large basis. Terms of office are staggered, so two councilors would be elected during the next election cycle in 2015.

For more information, visit www.durangogov.org or call the city clerk’s office at 375-5010.
