75 years ago: The traveling public of Durango and vicinity will once more be able to drive over the mountain passes on all roads out of the basin.
50 years ago: The last production of uranium concentrate at the Durango mill of the Vanadium Corporation of America has been completed. The last batch of ore to be processed went into the mill last week.
25 years ago: First United Methodist Church is planning a stained-glass window for its sanctuary in memory of the Rev. Alfred Carlyon, longtime pastor of the church. The triangular window is being constructed by local artist Betty Kilpatrick.
