Speaking of brave, sleeveless Minor wins, and Atlanta sweeps Colorado
Chris Nelson and the Colorado Rockies swung and missed Game 1 of a cold doubleheader Tuesday at Coors Field in Colorado. The Atlanta Braves won the first of a day-nigh twinbill 4-3.
Jeff Francis gave up four runs on six hits in four innings and took the loss, while his counterpart, Atlanta Braves starter Mike Minor, allowed three runs on five hits in six innings – without sleeves on a 28-degree day – to earn a 4-3 victory Tuesday in Denver.
Justin Upton rounded the bases in his home run trot twice Tuesday in the Atlanta Braves’ doubleheader sweep, once in the first game and once in the second, when he and his brother B.J. went back-to-back for the first brothers to do so since 1938.
Rockies rumpus

Josh Rutledge stole his fifth base in the first game, adding to the Rockies’ league-leading total of 18. ... The Rockies were 0-3 at home against the Braves last year and 1-6 overall. ... It isn’t always freezing at Coors Field.
