Passengers get on board for first Silverton run of season
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad began its service to Silverton on Saturday morning. The train will leave Durango daily at 8:45 a.m., according to the D&SNGR website. A second train will be added May 14 and a third on June 3.

“We decided just to come up and watch the train this morning,” said Cathy Delarue, back. Cathy, her daughter-in-law, Robyn Delarue, front, and grandsons Shelton, 3, front, and Ashton, 6, came from Aztec for the first trip of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton this season.
