Scotsman beats out the local to win Navajo Trail
Blayne Hobbs dug himself out of a couple jams Sunday, pulling into the lead at one point before finishing in a tie for third place at the Navajo Trail Open.
Jimmy Gunn put a tricky downhill putt from the fringe on the 18th hole within a couple feet of the hole, and his ensuing tap in gave him the championship at the 52nd annual Navajo Trail Open on Sunday at Hillcrest Golf Club.
Ryan Hogue battled the sun and shadows Sunday, shooting a 1-over 72 to finish in a tie for third at the Navajo Trail Open.
Alex Estrada started the Navajo Trail Open off with a 68 but ran into a few too many rough patches, finishing tied for 19th after firing a 76 on Sunday.
Devin Schreiner tried to will the ball into the hole on the 18th hole, but a lipped-out par putt sent him to second place at the Navajo Trail Open.
