Shorts. (No Ebert rating) A boy living in a cookie-cutter corporate suburb finds a wish-granting rock, and hilarity and mayhem ensue. With Tarantino-esque cinematography by Robert Rodriguez, it's even a bit weirder than it sounds. Rated PG.
G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. **½ An elite team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos. It's an action-adventure movie. Rated PG-13.
500 Days of Summer. **** Boy loves girl, she doesn't, but he keeps at it for a year and a half (her name's Summer). Rated PG-13.
The Time Traveler's Wife. ***½ A woman is married to a man who has no control of his time travel. But she loves him anyway. Rated PG-13.
