Marina to close at Navajo State Park
Because of necessary dock repairs and low-water levels, the marina at Navajo State Park will close Monday.
The reservoir and boat ramp will remain open. The marina store will be closed, and gasoline will not be sold. Some temporary closures of the boat ramp might occur while the dock is being taken out. The water level is 60 feet down, and Navajo Reservoir is about 50 percent full. The boat dock at the marina was damaged last year by wind and ice. Because the water is low, the repairs can’t be made while the dock is in the water. The dock will be returned to the reservoir next spring when water levels are adequate.
For more information about closures, call the park after Wednesday at 883-2208.
Zero Waste Workshop to be held July 23

Participants will learn about zero-waste food shopping and menu planning.
