Bayfield library to hold surplus sale
Pine River Library will hold a surplus sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 27 at its storage unit at Bayfield Storage, 416 County Road 501.
Tables, chairs, vintage media equipment (such as 16 mm and 8 mm projectors), vintage stereo equipment, shelving, LPs, office equipment and more will be sold. Signs will be posted on the day of the sale to direct buyers to the correct storage unit.

Bird walk to be held Wednesday on river trail
The Durango Bird Club will host a bird walk at 9 a.m. Wednesday at For the Birds, 1560 East Second Ave.
Participants will explore the habitat along the Animas River Trail around the Durango Fish Hatchery and Huck Finn Pond. The walk will last 90 minutes. Participants should bring binoculars. The event is free, but donations to the hosting group are welcome.

Party to benefit Center of Southwest Studies
The Center of Southwest Studies will host a summer benefit party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester Hotel, 726 East Second Ave.
There will be a cash bar and music from Robby Overfield, with light fare provided. This event is free and open to the public, with donations welcomed and memberships encouraged.

Health-care forum to be held July 31
CLUB 20 Education & Research Foundation will host a community health-care forum from 2 to 4 p.m. July 31 at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
A dessert reception will follow the session. The forum will begin by reviewing results from previous forums, then focus on discussing solutions in five areas of access that will include information from the new Connect for Health Colorado.
