Englishman leads in Britain; then again, he’s been here before
After three rounds at Muirfield in Gullane, Scotland, Englishman Lee Westwood leads The British Open Championship. Then again, he’s been here before: The 40-year-old has been a perennial contender in golf’s marquee events, finishing second or third seven times.
Hunter Mahan’s 3-under 68 was tied for best round of the day Saturday at Muirfield in Gullane, Scotland, and it left him two strokes behind third-round leader and Sunday playing partner Lee Westwood.
Tiger Woods is “pleased where I’m at. There’s only one guy ahead of me.” Woods is tied with Hunter Mahan at 1-under par after three rounds at the British Open and trails leader Lee Westwood, his playing partner Saturday, by two strokes.
