Curtis Wuest (Letters, Herald, July 19) says fleas, ticks and possibly anything else arising from transfer of reusable bags is ridiculous, but just rewind back to his letter. Grocery clerks sterilizing or even wearing gloves is out of the question – I agree with that. Everyone I know, or have seen, with dogs, transports these pets inside their vehicles. Other than in the bed of a pickup, these animals roam about freely in vehicles. This is not as unreal an assumption as Wuest’s letter suggests.
I’m sure that I and others are not paranoid that sneezing at the cashier counter could possibly result from allergies to pet dander.
