While others in my Animas City neighborhood are unable to leave their recycling bins in the alley anymore, I am unable to recycle at all.
Upon my mid-June return, after spending the winter season in a warmer clime, I ordered a recycling bin. I was told that the bins were currently out of stock, but an order was on the way, and I would receive a bin around the end of July. Thus followed an embarrassing number of calls, in which I was assured that the bins had arrived and were being processed and distributed.
Until mid-August, I schlepped my recycling over to north City Market, except for glass; that convenience exists no longer. Consequently, I now have various containers lining my front porch, awaiting the arrival of “big blue.”
