Shaw says Nuggets move too fast

This isn’t yesteryear’s run-and-gun; this O hinges on the half-court
After years of playing fast in George Karl’s run-and-gun offense, the Denver Nuggets have been slow to pick up new head coach Brian Shaw’s point: Slow down. “I guess it comes down to this: If it works, it’s OK. If it doesn’t, try it the way we’re trying to get you to do it,” Shaw said. “For the most part, it’s a process that’s going to take time. But they’re getting it.”
Anthony Randolph and the Denver Nuggets, who have been bounced in the first round of the NBA playoffs their last four appearances, will have a new approach this season. “You look at those teams that always get up and down and do a lot of great things in the regular season, in the playoffs that ain’t happening,” guard Randy Foye said.
Quincy Miller is expected to play the Paul George role for this year’s Denver Nuggets, while JaVale McGee is expected to be the Roy Hibbard. This year’s Nuggets are drawing comparisons to the Indiana Pacers because new head coach Brian Shaw helped develop George and Hibbard into stars while he was an assistant coach in Indiana.
