Do you remember the quote from Clinton vs. George H.W. Bush? “It’s the economy stupid!”
I think Obama and the current bunch of liberal morons in Congress are missing the biggest factor of re-election and the one George Bush 41 was a victim of – a bad and worsening economy.
Unemployment is at 9.8 percent nationally and is still climbing, interest rates are rising and thanks to a spend-happy Congress, inflation is about ready to heat up again. It’s Jimmy “the peanut” Carter all over again, and if you recall, it is one of the big reasons Ronald Reagan came to power. He had to deal with double-digit unemployment, double-digit inflation and double-digit prime interest rates and successfully won the day by lowering tax rates to stimulate the economy, something this bunch will never do.
The current bunch in Congress is passing laws and spending money like the tax revenues are pouring in, when in fact almost all tax revenues are down and shrinking. They are so worried about health care and cap-and-trade that they are forgetting the most important thing – jobs. Before it is too late, you really need to contact Sens. Michael Bennet and Mark Udall and Rep. John Salazar and tell them that if they want to keep their happy, fat butts in their congressional seats, they need to worry less about cap-and-trade and universal health care and concentrate on getting the economy running again. The other stuff can wait till we can afford it.
