The Skyhawks won the first two sets 25-22, 25-17 before losing the third 25-20. The women came back strong in the fourth set, cruising to a 25-14 victory. The win improves Fort Lewis’ record to 6-15 overall and 4-9 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
“The game was really offensive on both sides,” FLC head coach Shelly Aaland said. “We did really well (Friday night).”

Defensively, the ’Hawks had another good game, Aaland said.
Senior Kelly McDonald picked up 19 digs, and sophomore Jessica Wilson had 13. Reed and Squiers both had a good night at the net with four and three blocks, respectively, Aaland said.
“It was a solid performance by all the players. We had a lot of players come in and play well,” Aaland said. “Heather Bryant in particular came in and added that sparkplug.”
The loss drops N.M. Highlands to 0-14 in the RMAC.
“Highlands has been struggling so it was nice to take care of them (Friday night),” Aaland said.
