Efforts underway to expand Durango’s draw
Sheri Rochford Figgs, the STEAM Park project coordinator, architect Rick Feeney, Carol Salomon, project co-chairwoman, and Chris Cable, executive director of the Powerhouse Science Center, review architectural renderings for the proposed project. The city of Durango assisted the group in obtaining grant money for a feasibility study of the complex, which would include a theater. amphitheater, classrooms and office and retail space, and would house the Durango Arts Center, Music in the Mountains and part of the science center activities.
