For the 10th year, Mark Rosenberg has opened the Christmas season with a memorable gift - the joy of performing
selections of Handel's oratorio, The Messiah."
Conducting the Durango High School Orchestra enriched by Fort Lewis College faculty and community musicians, he drew
the listening and singing participants at St. Columba's into a joyous traditional ritual, a Messiah" sing-a-long.
The soloists, Kimberly Farrell, Liza Tregillus, Andrew Homburg and Tom Kyser, inspired the pew participants in joining
their voices in well-loved choruses learned in school and church choirs.
If you missed this event, held Nov. 29, make a note to dig out that Messiah" score you used in high school and attend
next year. Be a part of a meaningful community celebration. Thanks to all involved.
