Dam gets dedicated

Reservoir named for rancher Bobby K. Taylor
Jennifer Burbey, finds a nice view from the top of Long Hollow Dam, with Pearl, 9, and Sam,11, after dedication of the dam. The reservoir, named for late landowner Bobby K. Taylor, whose ranch house sat scant yards from the toe of the dam, will meet water obligations to New Mexico and provide a more reliable water supply to irrigators on Fort Lewis Mesa.
Trent Taylor points to where his former house was situated below Long Hollow Dam on Thursday during the dedication of the dam. The reservoir was named for Taylor’s father, Bobby K. Taylor, whose portrait is next to Taylor.
