Shoveling to skate

“Man, I just want to skate,” said David Flores while shoveling out one of the bowls at the Durango Skate Park on Thursday. “I’m the one who will make it snow now since I started shoveling this,” he said. The National Weather Service expects lows in Durango in the single digits through the weekend, but Monday’s low is expected to climb to 12 degrees. Highs are expected to be in the 30s through Monday, with the warmest day expected to be Sunday at 37 degrees. No snow is in the seven-day forecast.
