The Durango Steamers hoist their championship trophy Sunday afternoon at Chapman Hill Ice Rink. Durango proved to be the No. 1 team in the four-team Steamers Cup this weekend on its home ice. The 6- to 8-year-old Mites went 4-0 against teams from Taos, Telluride and Flagstaff, and they defeated Flagstaff 11-0 to win the Cup championship. The Mites, coached by Scott Simmons and John Robinette, are Jax Bayer, Patrick Rowan, Quinn Simmons, Cullen Robinette, Gus Kidd, Jordan Woolverton, Nathan Foster, Finn Stowers, Joe Arnwine, Colby Simmons, Sawyer Ward and Xander Sakadinsky.
